How can I include a source link in my article?

All data or claims in your article must be supported with an embedded link to the original, reputable source (such as a study, statistic or research report).

Adding a source link in WordPress

  1. Highlight the relevant text in the editor.
  2. Click the link icon.
  3. Paste the URL of the reputable source.
  4. Press “Enter” to apply the link.

Finding the original source

  • Identify where the data, statistic or claim was first published — this is often a study, whitepaper or official report.
  • Always link directly to the original source, not a site that’s simply reporting on it.

Example:

If you come across a news article that cites a stat like “65% of remote workers feel more productive,” search within the article for a mention of the original study or use the statistic in a search engine to locate and link directly to the full report from its original publisher.
