How can I include a source link in my article?
All data or claims in your article must be supported with an embedded link to the original, reputable source (such as a study, statistic or research report).
Adding a source link in WordPress
- Highlight the relevant text in the editor.
- Click the link icon.
- Paste the URL of the reputable source.
- Press “Enter” to apply the link.
Finding the original source
- Identify where the data, statistic or claim was first published — this is often a study, whitepaper or official report.
- Always link directly to the original source, not a site that’s simply reporting on it.
Example:
If you come across a news article that cites a stat like “65% of remote workers feel more productive,” search within the article for a mention of the original study or use the statistic in a search engine to locate and link directly to the full report from its original publisher.
